The new Youth Club, known as L BLOCK is now up and running. It meets on Monday night at the Sport Centre and Tuesday night at The Welcome. Please come along and join us.
As part of the summer activities for children, The Welcome held the very popular Curious Critters event when local children get to learn about and touch all sorts of exotic animals including snakes!

Come along to a drop in session on the Neighbour Plan in The Welcome between 3pm and 6pm on Tuesday 19th June to understand what it is and find out how to comment on it. Cllrs Tony Dean and Stewart Gardiner will be in attendance along with volunteer residents. You will also be able to find out more about the Local Plan allocation of housing at the two site at Parkgate and Longridge.
On Friday 18th May 2018, Ester McVey MP and David Briggs, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, hosted a very successful and enjoyable lunch at The Welcome for all our supporters, including the Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Peter Coan. We are very grateful for all they do to allow us to continue to be a "hub for everyone".

Many thanks to Cheshire Community Fund who have recently organised a donor to replace a roller shutter and funded extended Friday night opening hours for the Community Cafe.

Manchester Airport hosted an over 60s Tea Party at The Welcome for local residents on 18 July 2017

The Welcome has successfully bid for funding for an over 60's luncheon club. On Saturday 3rd December, the people voted at Shaw Heath Social Club at a well attended event. The Welcome would like to thank all those who turned up to vote.

Thursday 1st December at 3.30pm at The Welcome
As part of World Food Day, The Welcome distributed 38 bags of food to local families on the Longridge and Shaw Heath estate. The food was donated by Sainsbury's, the Co-Op and as a result of Harvest Festival collections at local schools.

The Citizens Advice Bureau will be running a weekly drop in session on Wednesday afternoons at The Welcome. Please feel free to come along if you have any questions or issues about subjects like housing, benefits, employment and debt.

On 18 February 2016, the Knutsford Rotary Club brought 29 children from The Welcome to Petty Pool in Northwich. The children all participated in a number of challenging activities including abseiiling, archery and orienteering. By all account everybody had a great day!
Cheshire East have appointed The Welcome as a Community Hub for the delivery of local services. This is one of only two Community Hubs in the Cheshire East area.
On Friday 16 January 2015, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs MBE KStJ hosted a fundraising lunch at home in aid of The Welcome. The main guest was the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne MP who is also our Patron. The event which was attended by a significant number of local business people was a great success.
ON 12 October 2013, HRH, the Duchess of Gloucester visited The Welcome to present the Queen's Award for Volunteers.
